This mirror’s borders comprise very thick old Pine Bark at about 1″ thick in spots. Even some of the driftwood in the media has distinguishing characteristics that mark which species it came from.

This mirror has some root wood and heartwood, sap wood from Spruce, Pine, Native Aspen and Birch . The stone you see is made up of Igneous and metamorphic stone from regions of Alberta and BC. They include Rundle stone, montana sandstone, many igneous stonesĀ  from the Canadian Rocky Mountains. All that you see is completely natural and organic.

The bark is very rare to find in long enough lengths required to make a frame this size, but I’m on the hunt for more as I really love this one. A custom order can be made with enough lead time.
